The Camosun College Transfer program 

The Camosun /Dorset Transfer Program is a 2 year diploma program where after completing required courses at Dorset College, students can transfer into the second year of Diploma in Business Administration. Students will be required to take additional 10 courses at Camosun College to achieve a Diploma in Business Administration. Concentrations available are: Management and Marketing.

Students must complete the following courses with a minimum grade of 60% ( except for both English 100 and English 150, where students must achieve a minimum grade of 65%). In addition, students must complete all required courses with a minimum overall grade average of 70% in order to be eligible to transfer to Camosun College.

ACCT 200- Financial Accounting
ACCT 250- Managerial Accounting
COMM 250 – Business Communication II
English 100/ 150 – Writing and Research I and II
MGMT 200 – Management and Organization Theory
ECON 100 – Microeconomics
ECON 150 – Macroeconomics
FINA 200 – Corporate Finance
MARK 200 – Fundamentals of Marketing
STAT 200/ 250 Statistics I and II

Upon completion of Camosun College’s Diploma in Business Administration, students will have the following choices:

1. Apply to the Bachelor of Business Administration program in Camosun College and complete a Bachelor of Business Administration with an additional 2 years of study.
2. Apply to the Bachelor of Business Administration program at Vancouver Island University, Capilano University, University of Northern British Columbia, or Thompson Rivers University with an additional 2 years of study.
3. To apply to Bachelor degree studies at The University of British Columbia (UBC), Simon Fraser University (SFU), University of Victoria (UVIC) by satisfying the receiving institutions’ requirements.
4. To apply for a three year post- graduate work permit in Canada.
