“Attending Dorset College has helped me succeed in BCIT, If I did not attend Dorset College, graduating may not have been as easy as it was. When I first arrived as an international student, the college helped me developed my English skills. Dorset College increased my knowledge of the English language and Automotive Theory. In the classroom, my communications with my peers and teachers have increased. Dorset has helped to improve my grammar, oral skills, and presentation skills as well. My reading, writing, and listening is also a great deal better than I began. I also learned the basics of Automotive Theory.
They have also helped me with my study time management, and organization. I’ve learned to plan my homework study time ahead, and previewed the chapters that I was going to learn. Dorset helped me practice my note-taking skills, and that helped me understand my courses better at BCIT. In the end, I believe the classes I took at Dorset College were very helpful, and helped me prevail in my future studies

Sheriff, Ibrahim (Sudan)
“Dorset college is the school that I can never forget ! I was a student at the pre-MBA program from May 2009 to Many 2010. I was taught by very highly professional teachers like Kristeen McLellan, Rocky Mirza and Charlene Robson. Teachers at the college make sure that all students in the class understand, participate and know how to do their assignments; in addition, teachers are available to provide students with the help they need even during holidays ! I used to send a lot of emails to teachers asking for clarification for subjects that i couldn’t understand or asking for opinion and for sure all my questions were answered with enough explanations. The college has a staff and Manager that is active and helpful; the staff is ready to discuss any concerns that a student may have and makes sure that all problems are resolved. All study materials are available in the college and they are updated each term so students always get the latest knowledge.
What makes the college distinguished form other colleges is that Dorset has a multicultural environment and good facilities ! students from different countries in the world are enrolled in the college which makes a good opportunity for practising English and getting to know about different cultures and belief. In my experience with Dorset college, I made friends from China, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Ghana and Taiwan. I had a wonderful time telling my friends about my culture and learning about theirs. In the college there is a library, computer lab and coffee shop where students meet, work together and have fun. The computer lab has all what students need! there are enough flat screen computers, printers , scanners, and very high speed internet; all these facilities are accessible to all students in the college. The college also offer scholarships for those who get high grade.
Another good thing about the college is that it has variety of programs. There are many universities that the college has agreement with and that students can choose to go to . the college prepares its students and directs them to achieve their goals and enrol into well know universities in Canada. when i was studying there, all i needed to do is to ask the staff and my question get answered very quickly.
Dorset college has a very good location. A lot of restaurants , cafe shops and banks are few steps away from the college. there is a parking just behind the college and the bus stops one block way. So if you are an international student and wish to get good quality education in Canada, i would recommend that you come to Dorset college.
