This Dorset College program provides students with fundamental education in business culture today. Students enrolled in the Business Culture Studies program complete 14 courses, including coursework in English Language, Social Sciences and Mathematics. The program promotes the development of practical managerial skills, communication skills and business decision-making capability. Students who complete this one-year program with sufficient GPA will be eligible for transfer to either of the following programs at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT):
*This program does not require approval by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB/ PTIRU ) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training.
Please note: This program is not eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) offered by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Students enrolled in this program will not qualify for a PGWP upon completion.

All applicants must
(1) provide proof of high school graduation or equivalent and
(2) meet one of the minimum language standards listed below:
• IELTS: Overall 5.5 with no band under 5.0
• TOEFL: 46/120 iBT, PBT 457/677
• English Grade 9-11 with minimum of grade of C (from country with principal language as English).
• Completion of 2 years at post-secondary level accredited institution, English as mode of instruction.
• Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) with overall score of minimum score of 40.
• CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark) with level 5
• Dorset College English Proficiency Exam with minimum score of 60%
Or any academic standard English proficiency test (including PTE Academic, Duolingo) equivalent to IELTS overall 5.5.
